This morning at Windy Meadow Farms the chicks started hatching. We woke up this morning with one hatched and at 5:30 a.m. a 2nd chick was hatching. This is a very exciting time of the year for our family having the planting season start and having new baby additions to our farm. This is the second Spring for us hatching chicks. Last years chicks are now the mothers and fathers to these new chicks and very pretty chicks at that. Breeding them is fun seeing what their babies look like and finding out if they are pullets or cockerels (which are our next hens and roosters). Once the new clutch has completely hatched we will send a "baby" photo update.
